The Fourth Annual People's Choice Chili Cook-Off will be held at the E.T. Sims Jr. Neighborhood Facilities Building (Hamilton Recreation Center) from noon - 1:30 p.m. with awards presented at 2 p.m. Pre-sold tickets are $5 and can be purchased from any Hamilton High School band student. Limited tickets will be sold at the door for $7. Samples from 16 contestants will be available and votes will be cast for the favorite. Drink and cornbread will be included. The Girl Scouts of North Central Alabama are now selling Girl Scout cookies at the Winfield Community Center. The price is $3.50 per box. All of your favorite cookies are back, as well as a new lemon flavor called Savannah Smiles. The Girl Scouts will not be taking pre-orders. Cookies are on hand and Girl Scouts are doing direct sales.
