State Troopers
HAMILTON - The following activities were reported by the Alabama State Troopers
Post in Hamilton for the period ending Feb. 3:
• Bobby Joe Daniel, 77, Cullman, driving a 2005 Ford, was involved in a
one-vehicle accident on Jan. 31 at 10:10 a.m. on U.S. Highway 278. Daniel was
listed as injured in the accident.
• Kayla E. Holbrook, 22, Hamilton, driving a 2003 Chevrolet, was involved in a
one-vehicle accident at 5:40 a.m. on Feb. 2 on County Road 16. She was listed
as injured, as was a passenger, Foster L. Wallace III, 26.
• Yohnny M. Mareno, 19, Hilton Head, S.C., driving a 2002 Ford, was involved in a one-vehicle accident
at 12 a.m. on U.S. 78 on Feb. 2. There were no injuries.
Winfield Police Department
WINFIELD - Officers with the Winfield Police Department issued 16 citations
during the period from Jan. 28-Feb. 2 with the following breakdown: eight for
speeding; two for improper tag; and one each for driving with a suspended
license, other violation, and no insurance.
The following incident reports were filed during the period: four for officer’s report; and one each for first-degree theft of property, third-degree theft of
property, harassment, shoplifting and harassing communications.
The department worked three accidents in the period.
