Miss. Betty Jean Miles, 85, of Winfield, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022, in the Diversicare Health Care Center in Winfield.
She was born in Marion County on April 23, 1936, to Melton and Belvie Prescott Miles.
She was a long-time member of the Gum Springs Baptist Church and a graduate of Brilliant High School. She worked for Munsingwear in Guin until her retirement.
Miss. Miles is survived by a cousin - Robert Prescott; nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother - R. L. Miles; and her sisters - Christine Ward, Geraldine Miles, Ivilene Shipe and Willodean Gilley.
A graveside service for Miss. Miles was held on Thursday, March 24, 2022, from the West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win.
Bro. Fred Baccus was the officiating minister.
