The newest magazine in Alabama hit the newsstands in January with one member of the staff having a connection to Marion County.
Cassity Hughes has served as a writer with the magazine in her role as an intern since the first edition rolled from the presses.
Being able to play a role in the early stages of the Thicket has proven rewarding to the Winfield native.
“In my opinion, there are tons of potential for this new magazine,’’ Hughes said in an interview with the Journal Record.
“This is a rather refreshing addition the current Alabama magazines. People in Alabama will appreciate what Thicket does--and that is bring positive attention to our state. ’’
