The Winfield Pirates boys and girls teams saw differing outcomes this week as the boys continued on their winning streak and the girls met a series of losses.
On Saturday, Oct. 22, the boys traveled to New Albany, Miss., and won 73-49. The first quarter was close, ending with both teams tied at 13-13, but the Pirates picked up speed and kept it up while the New Albany Bulldogs just couldn’t keep up.
Logan Feltman scored the most points for the pirates, followed by Ja’borri McGhee. Feltman scored 23 points and McGhee scored 22. Both players got 14 rebounds. McGhee recorded nine assists.
Will Beasley scored 12 points, Kade Estill scored eight points, and Jarret Hosch and Drew Cook scored four points each.
