HAMILTON — Yet another change has been made to the elected officials’ salaries proposal that was originally presented back in March of this year.
If new proposals are approved by Alabama Legislators, Marion County Revenue Commissioner Barbara Cooper will earn a salary of $72,000 per year.
Salary change proposals started in March when Sheriff Kevin Williams presented new bills to the Marion County Commission which included an increase in salary for the sheriff.
Following that meeting on March 20, additions were made to the proposed bill that also included pay raises for the revenue commissioner and Marion County Commissioners.
