Betty Vogt

Betty M. Vogt, 102, of Hamilton passed away May 14th at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born January 9,1922 in Auburn, Indiana to parents Howard and Mabel Steckley. In 1940, she and her parents moved to Cleveland, Ohio. There she met and married Birt Vogt in 1953. Tired of the snow and cold weather, the family moved to Arizona in 1959, living there until she moved to Hamilton in 2017.
     Her professional career was in the Mesa, Arizona Public School system. She started as a volunteer Teachers' Aid at one of the middle schools and retired as a Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of the district.
  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Birt; and their youngest son, Russell. She is survived by her son, Andrew; daughter-in-law, Rhonda; daugther-in-law, Carol Conrad (Robert); grandchildren, David, Daniel, Ryan, and Emily Vogt as well as great-grandson, Noah Vogt.
 A private graveside service will held at a future date at the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona. She will be buried by her husband, Birt, who was a World War II Veteran.
