Panther Edge Weeks runs toward the end zone just ahead of Phillips Hayden Jordan.
BEAR CREEK — The Hackleburg Panthers completely dominated their arch rival Phillips High School Friday, Oct. 11, winning 53-0.
Hackleburg’s Edge Weeks was the first Panther in for a touchdown, running it in from 40 yards out on third down. JonHasten Stidham’s PAT was good, and the Panthers were up 7-0 with 9:45 left in the first quarter.
After a sideline warning against Hackleburg and several unsportsmanlike calls on the Panthers, the visiting team was back in the end zone six minutes later, with Jaquan Reeder doing the honors. The PAT made it 14-0.
