‘Dinner on First,’ elegant Hamilton chamber awards event set for April 22

HAMILTON — You can be a part of one of the best events to be held this year in Hamilton at “Dinner on First,” the Hamilton Area Chamber of Commerce-sponsored event that salutes the “Best of Hamilton.”
The semi-formal dinner celebration and awards presentation will be held in downtown Hamilton on First  Street and First Avenue on Tuesday, April 22, from 6-9 p.m.
“Dinner on First” will feature an outstanding dinner, with appetizers, main dishes and desserts catered by some of Hamilton’s best-favored restaurants, including House of Plenty Studio Kitchen, The Creamery & Marketplace and The Blacktop.
Chamber President Ethan Mattingly noted, “Once again, our amazing team at the Hamilton Area Chamber Of Commerce has put together a renowned event that will be talked about for years to come.
“I want to personally invite everyone to attend ‘Dinner on First’ to enjoy the finest things in Hamilton. This event was designed to foster a culture of appreciation and gratitude for our members and the citizens of Hamilton. This is an event you don’t want to miss!"
 
Special entertainment
A “Local Legends Songwriters Round” will be held at the event, featuring three amazing artists with local ties. These include Steven Dale Jones, an award-winning songwriter who has sold more than 20 million albums; Mike McGuire, award-winning drummer, founding member of Shenandoah and songwriter; and Tommy Barnes, award-winning songwriter and Pioneer Award Winner.

Voting details
“Dinner on First” includes awards for several “Best of Hamilton Business Awards,” as well as a “Citizen of the Year.”
Chamber members are all nominated in a category related to their speciality. Categories include “Best in civic organizations, finance/insurance, health care, business services, shop-ping/retail, automotive/petroleum, specialized services, restaurants, lodging/housing and technology/utilities,” as well as a “Best in Overall Business” and a “Best in Customer Service.”
Citizen of the Year nominees for 2025 include Dana Scott, Jeff Fleming, Matt McCracken and Tim Rye.
Nominees for business categories can now be found online, where all voting is conducted through the chamber’s website at hamiltonchamberofcommerce.org.

Purchase tickets by April 14
Attendees must purchase tickets for the event by Monday, April 14. You can order tickets by visiting the chamber website, emailing chamber@hamiltonchamberofcommerce.org or by phone or text at 205-921-7786. The cost is $60 for chamber member VIP seating and $75 for general seating.
