Segraves chosen to lead firm’s new Birmingham office

GUIN-  The California-based consultancy firm HdL Companies has chosen Guin resident Phil Segraves to lead its newly established Birmingham office.
Segraves will work with municipalities across Alabama to development revenue streams and new business initiatives.  
“I am pleased to join the HdL team and bring my economic development experience and skill set to further our progress with municipalities in Alabama,” Segraves said in a release. “Now is a crucial time for growth in this state, and I am eager to be at the forefront of its development in this new position.”
Segraves has more than 35 years of experience as a businessman and more than 20 years as a municipal official. For 16 years, he served as the mayor of Guin, where he led economic development efforts. Segraves steered the extension of the Guin city limits to Interstate 22 where he oversaw the development of industrial park and a $12.5 million hotel.
