Hamilton welcomes new hospital administrator

HAMILTON — The City of Hamilton held a meet-and-greet for Robin Mixon, the new hospital administrator for North Mississippi Medical Center-Hamilton, on Monday, Nov. 20, at city hall.
Mixon is orignally from Natchez, Miss., and attended New Hope High School and the Mississippi University for Women, both in Columbus, Miss. She received her masters in healthcare administration from Trident University International.
Mixon has three grown children; William, Madeline and Clayton. She is newly married to Derric Belcher.
Mixon officially began her duties in July, and said she loves her job.
“Everybody is very nice,” she said. “I’ve gotten to know several people. And Hamilton is a beautiful city. Everyone has been very welcoming. There’s a great medical staff at the hospital. I’m really enjoying working there.”
Asked what she likes the best about her new role, Mixon said it’s the people.
“I love to serve people and the community,” she said. “Getting to be a part of the community is great. I want to be here for them. I’m available. I’m accessible.”
