Mr. Jarrad Lee Tesney, 40, of Brilliant passed away on July 2, 2024, at his residence. Jarrad was born March 6, 1984, in Georgia to James Tesney and Virginia Skelton. He attended Marion County High School. Jarrad spent much of his life employed with ADM River Boats as an engineer. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, golfing and playing video games.
Jarrad is survived by his father, James Tesney (Faye); mother, Virginia Matychowiak (John); brother, Derek Tesney (Amanda); sisters, Courtney Tesney (Emily), Michelle Studdard (Bart), Alisha Clark (Brandon), Delina Lewis (Danny) and Kayla Sisco (Vincent); grandmothers, Vivian McDonald and Mary Matychowiak; nephews, Preston Conniff, Triton Tesney, Brody and Peyton Studdard, and Jacob, Roman, and Eli Rivera; nieces, Melody Swanigan and Valen Sisco; aunts, Stacey, Deborah, Becky, and Tonya; and a host of other family members.
Jarrad was preceded in death by grandparents, Ralph Skelton, Linda Wimberly-Higgins, and James Odis and Wyllene Tesney; and uncles, Shane Skelton, and Joe and Donald Tesney.
Funeral services for Jarrad were held on Friday, July 5, 2024, at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Brilliant Memorial Gardens.
