Mrs. Betty Jean Vickery, 90, of Winfield passed away on July 18, 2024. Mrs. Vickery was born in Marion County on June 22, 1934, to Bryan and Ollie Beasley Marcum. Betty was a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ. She spent much of her life as a homemaker caring for her husband and children. In her spare time Betty enjoyed working outside in her flower beds, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Vickery is survived by her sons, Tony Vickery (Gail) and Jerry Vickery; grandchildren, Jerel Vickery, Mike Pickrell, Wil Vickery (Kortney), Travis Markham (Rachel), Lee Vickery, Kathy Stone, and Jered Vickery; great-grandchildren, Braxton, Jace, Haley, Luke and Adison; brothers, Michael (Jaquana), Kenneth, and Tommy Marcum; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vickery was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Vickery; daughter, Kathy Vickery; and siblings, Shirley Carpenter, Cleburn Marcum, Charles Marcum, Johnny Marcum and Thomas Marcum.
Funeral services for Mrs. Vickery were held on Monday, July 22, 2024, from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Griggs Place Cemetery.
