FAYETTE — The Winfield Pirates rushing attack was too much for the Fayette County Tigers to handle as the Pirates ran up 222 rushing yards to roll to a 35-6 victory on Thursday, Sept. 26.
Keylan Hughes paced the Pirates’ rushing attack with 143 yards and a touchdown, to go along with Kyson Key’s 78 yards and a touchdown.
The win improved the Pirates to 5-1 on the season, and the Tigers fell to 2-4.
Winfield Head Coach David McKinney also notched his 150th career victory with the win, his 98th at the helm at Winfield.
