Andrews selected as next Winfield superintendent

WINFIELD — The Winfield City Board of Education voted to move forward with Dr. Adam Andrews as the next superintendent during a called meeting on Monday, March 30.
Andrews was interviewed by the board of education on March 17, as one of four finalists out of all the applicants.
During his interview, Andrews discussed his experience, which ranges from being a substitute teacher to being an administrator.
While he was attending college at the University of Alabama, he spent mornings working as a full time bus driver and also did some work as a substitute teacher.
After obtaining his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama, he went on to multiple master’s degrees and a specialist from the University of West Alabama, including masters in history and instructional leadership.
