Mrs. Johnnie McRight Guin, 96, of Winfield, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, in the Fayette Long Term Care Facility in Fayette.
Mrs. Guin was born in a small town called Pleasant Site in Franklin County on Aug. 1, 1925, to William Austin and Elizabeth Mariah McRight. Mrs. Guin spent her life taking care of her family, she enjoyed sewing, homemaking, and she especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters - Patricia Guin (Jim) Brock, Myra Jeanette Reed and Peggy Rena (David) Trull; daughter-in-law - Pam Guin; grandchildren - Chad (Leesia) Langston, Jason (Vickie) Langston, Amanda Langston, April (Mikel) Simmons, Kaci (Freddie) Jones, Hannah (David) Robinson, Scott (Ashley) Borland, Ann (Nelson) Grice, Slade Guin and Starla Gama; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and a host of other family and friends.
Mrs. Guin was preceded in death by her husband - Athel Guin; son - Stephen Athel Guin; daughter - Judy Gail Morrison; granddaughters - Krisenda Michelle Claire and Julie Rochelle York; great-grandchildren - Kylan Troy Sandlin and David Kyle Robinson; four brothers; three sisters; and her parents.
The funeral service for Mrs. Guin was held on Saturday May 7, 2022, from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at the Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
