Denise Cooper Stein

Denise Cooper Stein, 66, of Detriot, Ala., passed away on March 2, 2023, surrounded by her family in Wisconsin.
Denise was a kind and thoughtful soul and will be missed and remembered by the many lives she touched. Even in the face of her own illness, Denise remained a steadfast friend and confidant to everyone she knew. She enjoyed helping people and she would love to be remembered with funny, strange, or silly stories that celebrate what was good and blessed in her life.
Denise was born in Kenosha, Wis. on April 21, 1956, where she spent her early childhood, attended Tremper High School, and where she met her husband before moving to Alabama.
Her son, Erick, was the light of her life. She was an amazing, devoted mother, and her relationship with her father, mother, sisters, brother ,and many friends was cherished.
Denise is survived by her son, Erick Stein; her brother, Danny (Tina) Cooper; her sister, Donna J Cooper; grandchildren, and other assorted family and many caring friends.
Denise is preceded in death by husband, Freddie Stein; father, James Dalton Cooper; mother, Earleen Cooper;  and sister, Dapthander (Cooper) Schneeberger; and many other love ones.
