Long facing 20 counts of abusive material charges

WINFIELD — Eric Norton Long, 43, of Winfield, has been arrested and is now facing charges for 20 counts of porn with intent to disseminate.
Long was initially arrested by the Marion County District Attorney’s Office, which handled the investigation, and he was booked into the Marion County Jail on Wednesday, Jan. 29, on nine counts.
He is now facing 20 counts as of Feb. 10, court documents show.
According to court documents, porn with intent to disseminate involves a suspect who did knowingly “possess with intent to disseminate obscene matter containing visual depiction of persons under 17 years of age involved in obscene acts.”
The charges he’s facing are classified as a Class B felony under Alabama State Law, which could carry a sentence of up to 20 years in jail (minimum of 10), and fines of up to $30,000.
