Stanley Miles Whitley

Mr. Stanley Miles Whitley, 66, of Winfield, passed away on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025. Born in Fayette, Ala., on May 19, 1959, Stanley was the son of Kenneth and Dorothy Miles Whitley.
Stanley grew up in Fayette and attended Fayette County High School. He was a longtime member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church. He worked for many dedicated years at NTN Bower until illness eventually led him to retire. Never one to stay idle, Stanley enjoyed doing carpentry work during his retirement. Before his illness, Stanley found great joy in hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors. In his later years, he enjoyed watching football and, most of all, spending time with his family and grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
Stanley is survived by his loving wife, Mary Whitley; his son, Wade Whitley, and wife Jennifer; his beloved grandchildren, Brandon and Holly Whitley; his mother, Dorothy Whitley of Fayette; his sister, Debbie Tripp (Wayne) of Alabaster; his brother, Rickey Whitley of Homewood; his parents-in-law, Eugene and Lucille Prescott of Winfield; his brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Linda May of Winfield; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Whitley; his brother, Chris Whitley; and his brother-in-law, Sherwin Prescott.
Funeral services for Mr. Whitley were held on Nov. 24, 2025 at Harmony Grove Baptist Church with burial following in the adjoining cemetery.
