Anita Diane Hulsey

Anita Diane Hulsey, 62, of Guin, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026, at her residence. She was born in Haleyville on Nov. 19, 1963, to Connie Jr. and Toy Mae Gilliand Allred.
Anita spent much of her life working in the mobile home industry as a final finisher before her retirement. In her free time, she loved being at the local dirt track, West Alabama Speedway. She especially enjoyed watching her sons race and spending time with her racing family, where she made many cherished memories.
Anita is survived by her sons, Alan Goodwin (Dawn), Nathan Goodwin, Kaleb Atkinson (Ashley) and Jerrod Atkinson (Courtney); 12 grandchildren; her sisters, Rhonda Sides (Jamie), Angela “Angie” McMillan, Stephanie Short (Craig), Carla Ireland (Kevin), Lawanda Hall (Bryan) and Crystal Allred; her stepmother, Diania Allred; and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Hulsey, and her son, Daniel Higgins.
Funeral services for Anita will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 4 p.m. at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Brilliant Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3-4 p.m., service time, at the funeral home.
