Maxine Vann

Maxine Vann, 82, of Hamilton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026, in North Mississippi Health Services-South Marion in Winfield.
Born July 31, 1944, in Amory, Miss., she is the daughter of the late Orbie Millican and Lesker Pierce Millican. A former resident of Sulligent, she worked at Sulligent High School as secretary for many years. She was a member of Hamilton First Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Jay Vann (Vickie) and a daughter, Missy Jarrett (Mark) all of Hamilton; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren with one joining in January.
She is preceded in death by husband, Jerry Vann; son, Todd Vann; and sister, Dorothy Hathcock.
Funeral services were held on Sept. 1, 2026, at Hamilton First Baptist Church. Burial followed in Hamilton Memory Gardens.
