BEAR CREEK — The Town of Bear Creek will hold its annual Friendship Festival on Saturday, July 5, at Twin Forks Park, located on Upper Bear Creek.
Mayor Rob Taylor said, “We’d like to invite everyone out to our annual Friendship Festival. This year promises to be a good festival.
“We’ll have food vendors, arts and crafts vendors, merchandise vendors and a car show. We’ll have the Sons of Confederate Veterans there with their cannons.
“And, of course, we’ll have a huge fireworks show at dark. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone there.”
The mayor noted the car show registration starts at 8 a.m., with festivities and music beginning at 10 a.m., and lasting all day until after the fireworks show concludes.
“We’ll have vendors, arts and crafts and some live music beginning at 10 a.m.,” he said. “Our headliners will start playing around 1 p.m., and the music is scheduled to continue right up until the fireworks show starts.”
The huge fireworks show lasts approximately 30 minutes, with patriotic music accompanying the event. The display is visible from all areas of Twin Forks Park, as well as boats out on Bear Creek.
