WINFIELD — The Winfield Pirates hosted to Shoals Christian Flame on Friday, Dec. 1, and split a win and loss between the boys’ and girls’ teams. The varsity girls played first, and both teams were neck-and-neck through the whole game.

SYLVANIA — The Winfield Pirates’ season came to end with a 35-10 loss to the Sylvania Rams on Friday, Nov. 17 in Sylvania. The Pirates offense got off to a slow start and the Rams scored on its first two possessions and never looked back.

WINFIELD — The Winfield Pirates scored in all three phases of the game to defeat the Colbert County Indians 43-21 on Thursday, Nov. 9, in Winfield, in round 1 of the AHSAA Class 3A State Playoffs.

WINFIELD — The Winfield Pirates’ senior football players finished their regular season on a high note as they pounded the Lamar County Bulldogs 64-7 on Thursday, Nov. 2 in Winfield.

OAKMAN — Winfield’s defense held the Oakman Wildcats to just 58 total yards and the offense pounded the Wildcats for a 42-0 region victory on Friday, Oct. 27, in Oakman.

CARBON HILL — The Winfield Pirates scored on seven of their eight possessions to rout the Carbon Hill Bulldogs 46-0 on Friday, Oct. 13, at Carbon Hill.

WINFIELD — Keylan Hughes rushed for four touchdowns as the Winfield Pirates scored early and often in a 52-0 homecoming win over Class 3A, Region 5’s Tarrant Wildcats, on Friday, Oct. 6.

HAMILTON — The Winfield Pirates dominated the Hamilton Aggies in the 97th edition of the rivalry between the two schools for a 50-0 win on Friday, Sept. 29 in Hamilton.

MIDFIELD — The Winfield Pirates got back in the win column with a 44-18 victory over the Midfield Patriots on Thursday, Sept. 21, in Midfield. The win notched the Pirates its first region victory of the season and brought their record to 3-1 on the season and 1-1 in Class 3A, Region 5 play. Winfield got off to a fast start and jumped out to a 35-0 lead before Midfield scored late in the second quarter, and the Pirates added one more touchdown and a safety to put away the Patriots.
