David Scott Eads

Mr. David Scott Eads, better known as Scott, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023 in Pensacola, Fla.  Scott was born in Winfield, Ala. on March 17, 1953 to Jimmie and Martha Elizabeth Musgrove Eads. Scott grew up in Winfield and was a 1971 graduate of Winfield High School. He had a passion for cars and playing baseball. Shortly after graduating, he met the love of his life, Melba. Both were members of Union Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. They resided in Fayette, Ala. for several years before moving to Navarre, Fla., where they enjoyed their retirement years in the warm Florida sunshine and among the beautiful beaches. Scott loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.
He is survived by his daughters, Virginia Ann “Ginny” Hydrick and her husband, Pat, of Waynesboro, Va., and Kimberly DeAnn Sierra and Rob of San Antonio, TX; son, David Scott “Scotty” Eads and his wife, Crystal, of Panama City, Fla.; brothers, Barry Eads and wife, Bonita, of Fort Morgan, Ala., Ricky Eads of Navarre, and Jim Eads and wife, Nathalia, of Southlake, TX; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and close friends.
Scott was preceded in death by his wife, Melba Eads, and his parents.
Funeral services for Scott were held on Sunday, March 26, 2023, from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Union Chapel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
