Rollie June "Spodo" Wallace, 76, of Guin, Ala, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at his residence. Rollie was born on June 6, 1946 in Lamar County, Ala. to the late R.D. Wallace and the late Annie Dell Smith Wallace. He attended school in Guin. Rollie worked doing lawn care for the City of Guin for many years. He enjoyed being outdoors and especially loved fishing. Rollie was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.
Rollie is survived by special friend, Ida Mae Williams, Guin; sisters, Lessie Hollis, Guin, Maudina Ogden (Lonnie), Birmingham, Ala., and Martha Wilson, Birmingham; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by parents, R.D. Wallace and Annie Dell Smith Hollis; brothers, Jimmy Don Wallace, Billy Wallace, and Willie Dean Wallace; and sister, Mae Lou Walker
Pallbearers were George Wallace, Jimmy (Bishop) Jones, Jerry Stowe, Lee Hollis, Ricky Truelove, and Deon Stowe.
Funeral services were held on Monday, April 3, 2023 from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Fairview Cemetery. Pastor Bobby Terrell officiated.
