Dan Pollard

Mr. Don Robin Pollard, better known as Dan, 83, of Brilliant, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025, in the Princeton Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Pollard was born in Brilliant, on Nov. 10, 1941, to Dell and Ora D. Brasseal Pollard.
Dan attended Brilliant Church of God. He was a 1961 graduate of Brilliant High School and served in the United States National Guard for six years. Dan was employed as a diesel mechanic with Haley Bros. Mining Company for 55 years before his retirement. He enjoyed spending his free time working on race cars, doing yard work and going to Walmart on Saturday mornings with his brothers.
Dan is survived by his brother, Tony Pollard, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Pollard; stepchildren, Tracy and Brett Haley; his parents; and brothers, Jerry Pollard and his wife Melba, Jack Pollard and his wife Grace, Jimmy Pollard, Tommy Pollard and Joe Pollard and his wife Deborah.
Funeral services for Mr. Pollard were held on Feb. 7, 2025, at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Brilliant Memorial Gardens.
