Jean Lucas

Jean Lucas, 80, of Winfield, formerly of Detroit, Ala., passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, at her residence.
Jean was born on Jan. 9, 1945, in Lamar County, Ala., to the late Fred Eastman and the late Vice Long Eastman. She attended Hamilton schools. Jean previously worked at McCoy Manufacturing. She enjoyed being outdoors in her garden and working with her flowers, especially roses, which were her favorite. She loved her family dearly and cherished spending time with her only granddaughter, Zoe. Her loving heart and beautiful spirit will always be remembered and greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She is survived by her son, Junior (Angie) Lucas of Guin; daughter, Betty (Darren) Pollard of Guin; sisters, Frances Louise Pickle of Hamilton and Sue (Buddy) Crane of Hamilton; and granddaughter, Zoe Lucas of Guin.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Garland Ray Lucas; and sister, Freddie Loue Jeffreys.
Memorial services were held on Feb. 15, 2025, at Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial of cremains following in Liberty Cemetery.
Her son-in-law, Bro. Darren Pollard, officiated.
