Sylvia Ann Moorehead

Sylvia Ann Moorehead, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, 79, of Sumiton, went to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, at her home.
Sylvia was born on Aug. 4, 1945, in Russellville, Ala., to the late Willie Rex Nix and Anna Orene McPherson Nix.
She leaves behind her husband of 62 years, Arnold (Sonny) Moorehead; sons, Wayne (Beverly), Gary (Glenda) and Ronald (Lorna); sister, Myra Jean Manley (Maurice); grandchildren, Karyn Winkler, Joshua Moorehead, Maria Fletcher, Cody Moorehead and Brooke Moorehead; and great-grandchildren, Riley Fletcher, Maddie Winkler, Mason Winkler and Rayce Fletcher.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lewis Nix and sister, Cathy Wright.
Graveside services were held on Feb. 14, 2025, at Shottsville Cemetery with Richard Davis officiating.
