Hamilton's Local Farmer's Market opens this Saturday; new location, dates & hours

HAMILTON — The Hamilton’s Local Farmer’s Market operated by Hamilton native Gabby Parker will open for the season this Saturday, May 17, with a once a month market schedule and a new downtown location.
Hamilton’s Local Farmer’s Market will be set up in downtown Hamilton on First Street, S.W., which is on the entrance side of the Marion County Courthouse.
“We’ll be in front of Sister-Friend’s Attic and Jeremy Streetman’s law office, near where the old Coffee Buzz was located,” Parker explained.
“We will open on May 17, and our hours will be from 9 a.m. to noon. We’ll also be open on June 21, July 19 and Aug. 16.”
The local market will once again feature a variety of growers and vendors, with some selling fresh fruits and vegetables, and others offering homemade items, such as juices, jams, jellies and baked goods.
Artists and artesians selling handmade items will also continue to be a part of this farmers market.
“It is a honor and privilege to create a location where people can come together to display and share their God-given gifts and talents,” Parker noted.
“I hope that in this world, where everything is moving and changing so quickly, this will be the place where, once a month, you can slow down and enjoy a sweet, slow Saturday morning filled with fellowship, community and a breath of fresh air.  Join us. You won’t be sorry.”
For more information, or to apply to be a vendor, contact Parker at 205-570-8685 or visit the market’s Facebook page at “Hamilton’s Local Farmer’s Market.”
