Earnest Ray Cox

Earnest Ray Cox, 81, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, Miss. He was born on Oct. 29, 1943, to the late Earnest M. and Nancy Belk Cox.
He left behind to cherish his memories, daughters, Sherry Pharr, Stacy Tice Cagle, Stephanie (Jason) Taylor and Malcolm Pharr; six grandchildren, Trey (Kaitlyn) Tice, Ally (Collin) Evans, Brady Taylor, Brodie Taylor, Ellie Grace Pharr and Jon Issac Pharr; sister, Joyce Raburn of Birmingham; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Brewer Cox; sister, Jo Ruth (Judy) Franks; and infant brother, Bloyce Cox.
A graveside service was held on May 14, 2025, at Shottsville Cemetery.
