Linda Sue McDonald
Mrs. Linda Sue McDonald, 82, of Winfield, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, at the Sunset Manor Nursing Facility. She was born on Oct. 19, 1943, in Winfield, to Cornelius Fred Mills and Willie Rose Strickland Mills.
Mrs. McDonald was a faithful member of Winfield Methodist Church and a graduate of Winfield City High School. She spent much of her life as a devoted homemaker and loving mother. In her spare time, she enjoyed being active in her church and had a caring heart for others, often visiting the sick and shut-in.
Mrs. McDonald is survived by her daughter, Paige Elliott; her grandchildren, Logan Elliott (Katy) and Avery Elliott; her great-grandchildren, Lainey Elliott and Leighton Elliott; her siblings, Joan Loden and Martha McDonald; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Cornelius Fred Mills Jr., Agatha Austin, Wanda Loftis, Shelia Gray Knighton, Virginia Austin and Frankie Cotten.
A memorial service for Mrs. McDonald will be held on Jan. 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at Winfield Methodist Church. Visitation will be held on Sunday at 1 p.m. until service time at the church.
