Protesters warn of Ramp abuse allegations

PEACEABLY ASSEMBLE — Protestors and law enforcement engage in a friendly conversation

HAMILTON — A small gathering of protesters took to the roadside to warn passers-by and attendees of abuse allegations against the Ramp during a Summer Ramp event on July 9-11.
A gathering of about five protesters on Thursday evening grew into around 10 on Friday and Saturday. Protest organizer Jake Ford said they were even joined on Friday by a relative of one of Samuel Bentley’s alleged victims.
The Ramp released an official statement on March 17 announcing Ramp staff member Samuel Bentley admitted to “inappropriate sexual contact” with a minor.
The statement said someone came forward the week prior with allegations the incident took place four years ago when they were a minor.
