Debra Kay Alexander

Debra Kay Alexander, 71, of Union City, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at her home. Debra was born Oct. 17, 1954, in Hamilton, Ala., daughter of the late Earnie and Betty (Frederick) Kerr.
Debra married Donnie Alexander June 30, 1974. Debra had been employed with the Obion County School System as a special education bus attendant. She enjoyed shopping for her grandchildren and working in her flowers. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Donnie Alexander of Union City; one daughter, Amber Barr of Clarksville; one son, Michael Alexander (Brandy) of Union City; four sisters, Pat Bozeman of Hartselle, Ala., Sheila Miller (Mickey) of Hatley, Miss., Sharon Marquis (Jerry) of Williamsburg, Va., and Pam Peak of Farmers Branch, Texas; six brothers, Terry Kerr (Carolyn), Frankie Kerr (Ellen), Chris Kerr, Tim Kerr (Angie) and Barry Kerr (Amy), all of Hamilton, and Steve Kerr (Yolanda) of Fulton, Miss.; nine grandchildren, Aleah Taylor, Kayra Alexander, Gabby Alexander, Cameron Flowers, Christopher Pride, Jacob Alexander, Jonathan Kirk, Kamryn Kirk and Kaden Alexander; and six great-grandchildren, Maeliegh Taylor, Zoey Flowers, Rowan Kirk, Josie Pride, Ella Pride and Amaya Pride.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Jay Alexander.
Memorial services were conducted July 11, 2026 at Walnut Log Baptist Church. Gary Haynes and Billy Craddock officiated.
