James Roger “Matthew” Robertson

Mr. James Roger Robertson, better known as Matthew, 74, of Winfield, passed away on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at the DCH Medical Center. He was born on Sept. 19, 1951, to Earlie and Floyce Taylor Robertson.
Matthew was a faithful member of Guin Church of God as well as the Brook Ministry in Winfield, where his faith and fellowship were an important part of his life. He worked for many years as a forklift driver with 3M Corporation. In his free time, Matthew enjoyed riding his motorcycle, traveling and, most of all, spending time with his family.
Mr. Robertson is survived by his son, Bernt Robertson (Jessica); his stepson, Brian McCaleb; his grandchildren, Cason Warren, Flynn Allen and Haisley Roberston, Hali McCaleb, Austin McCaleb (Bella), Lucas Trimble, Amara Tucker and Samuel McCaleb; his sister, Carolyn Flippo; and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Mr. Robertson was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Robertson; his parents, Earlie and Floyce Robertson; and his siblings.
Funeral services for Mr. Robertson will be held on Sept. 15, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Hallmark Family Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5-6 p.m. service time at the funeral home.
