Reeves honored during meeting

WINFIELD -  Winfield City High School will rename their track at the Winfield City Schools track complex to the Coach Steve Reeves Track after the Winfield City Schools Board of  Education unanimously approved of Superintendent Chris Cook’s recommendation to do so.
This track is being named to honor long-standing Winfield City Schools sports coach Steve Reeves.
“This is very humbling, guys. It’s incredible,” Reeves told the board members, “thank you so much, but, the honor really belongs to coach Shipp and coach McKinney, you don’t do it by yourself. Also the administration, y’all have given us the tools to be successful. Every single thing that we’ve needed, y’all have supplied and the rest of it was easy, just get (the kids) on the bus!”
Cook honored Reeves for his commitment.
