Charles Cole, 73, of the Pine Springs Community in Sulligent, Ala., passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023, at his residence.
Born Feb. 18, 1950 in Guin, Ala., he is the son of the late Troy and Sallie Mae Kennedy Cole. He lived in the Pine Springs Community and retired from Tombigbee Electric Cooperative after 33 years of service.
He is survived by special friend, Carol Prothro of Sulligent; three daughters, Marsha Webb (Doug) of Guin, Krystal Cole of Guin, and Emily Sonkar of Sulligent; three sons, Timothy Cole (Amy), Scott Cole (Janene), and Josh Cole (Valerie), all of Guin; 13 grandchildren, Makenzie Lovett (Corey), Gage Cole (Haley), Victoria Roe (Trent), Gracie Cole, Mitch Cole, Gavin Cole, Cade Atkins, Collins Cole, Shelby Cole, Natalie Lucas, Makenna Lucas, Chase Gosa, and Ethan Gosa; two great-grandchildren, Preston Lovett and Raven Cole; a sister, Shirley Berryhill of Guin; a brother, Russell Cole of Guin; two brothers-in-law, Ricky Tice and Guary Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Sallie Cole; two sisters, Doris Tice and Sara Taylor; sister-in-law, Diane Cole; and a brother-in-law, Gary Berryhill.
Services were held Tuesday, July 11, 2023, from the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Piney Grove Cemetery. Bro. B.J. Mills officiated.
