Mr. Samuel David Moseley Jr., 87, of the Hubbertville community, passed away on Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, at Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper. He was born on Sept. 28, 1938, in Tuscaloosa, Ala., to Samuel Moseley Sr. and Kittie Louise Spain Moseley.
Samuel began his career as a mechanic with Harley-Davidson before returning to Tuscaloosa, where he dedicated 47 years of service as a mechanic with the Tuscaloosa Police Department before retiring. In his spare time, he enjoyed farming, being outdoors, taking walks, hunting and fishing. He had a love for riding motorcycles and was an accomplished marksman. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family and friends.
Mr. Moseley is survived by his daughters, Carol Wakefield (Richard), Angela Channell (Joel), Rhonda Weeks (Jim) and Samantha Moseley; grandchildren, William Terrell (Nicole), Joshua Moseley, Dustan Moseley, Alvin Wilson (Andrea), Kaye Zak (Josh), Crystal Wilson, Brenden Channell, Jason Channell, Colin Channell, Noah Channell (Courtney), Hunter Channell (Sadie) and Jonah Moseley; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Moseley; grandson, Jacob Moseley; and siblings, James Moseley, Louise Frost, Betty Childress and Morris Moseley.
The family received friends for a time of visitation on Jan. 26, 2026, at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel.
