Lady Aggies’ historic season grounded out

OXFORD - The Hamilton Lady Aggies saw their season come to an end after suffering back-to-back losses in the Class 4A State Softball Tournament.
The Lady Aggies made it to the state tournament after going undefeated in the 4A West Regional Tournament, claiming the regional title.
The last time the Lady Aggies won the regional tournament and advanced to state competition was in 2009.

Lady Aggies punch ticket to state

By JESSE LAMAR General Manager Tuscaloosa - The Hamilton Lady Aggies swept every opponent they faced in the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s Class 4A West Regional softball tournament to punch their ticket to the Class 4A state softball tournament. The Lady Aggies, who finished the regular season as the Class 4A, Area 12 runners-up, started the regional tournament with an 8-4 win over Oak Grove High School. Hamilton took the lead early, posting three runs to the board in the top half of the first frame.

HALEYVILLE - The Hamilton Lady Aggies started the Class 4A, Area 12 tournament with a solid 12-2 win over the Lady Tigers of Fayette County High School, but the momentum wasn’t enough to carry them to the area title as they fell to the Haleyville Lady Lions 8-4 in the championship game.
After starting the tournament with the 10-run rule win over Fayette County, the Lady Aggies were paired up with the Lady Lions for their first matchup of the double-elimination tournament.

 

Aggies end season with loss to Chiefs

STEVENSON - The Hamilton Aggies saw their season come to an end on Friday, May 7, after falling in back-to-back games against the North Jackson Chiefs in the third round of the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s Class 4A State Baseball Playoffs.
The Aggies fell 2-1 in game one after surrendering a late, lead-changing run in the bottom of the sixth frame.
