WINFILED - Winfield City Schools Superintendent Chris Cook has a plan in place to improve his system’s school report card, he said at the WCS Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 8.
Statewide school report cards were released at the end of December. The WCHS score went from an 85 to a 90. The middle school dropped from an 87 to a 79 and the elementary school score stayed the same at 90. The overall WCS system received a B grade.
“A grade of B is great and a lot of systems would be proud of that,” Cook said during the meeting, “but, we’re not proud of that and we want to move forward to improve that score. We’re already doing so.”
