HAMILTON - Marion County District 2 Foreman Exie Spears addressed the Marion County Commission concerning the work relationship between Spears and District 2 Commissioner Kenneth Cochran during a regular meeting on Monday, Feb. 10, at the commission office in Hamilton.
“For the last several years I have been an employee here, Kenneth Cochran was one of my employees and now he’s my commissioner,” Spears said in a prepared statement.
“I knew when we got elected (as commissioner) that it would be a learning curve for both of us. I have worked like every other employee since November 2018, since he has taken over. Kenneth and I have never discussed the supervisor’s position and I don’t think he wants to discuss anything with me, this is the problem.”
