Can new jail solve turnover?

Marion County Sheriff Kevin Williams

HAMILTON — Marion County Sheriff Kevin Williams has yet again had to hire a new jailer to work at the Marion County Jail in Hamilton after some time dealing with high turnover at the facility.
During the Marion County Commission meeting held on Monday, Feb. 13, Trinity Credille was hired as a jailer for $14 per hour.
Williams stated the new hire now gives him eight jailers in total, a number Williams stated is the minimum needed to run the current jail facility.
“It’s been hard to maintain that number because of the pay, of course,” said Williams.
