Mac McAnally opens concert season for Pastime

WINFIELD -- The Pastime Theatre in Winfield announces Mac McAnally to open the 2023 concert season Feb. 25.
In some ways, award-winning songwriter, instrumentalist, producer and artist Mac McAnally is a paradox. He is beyond dispute one of the most respected musicians of our time. His peers have made that clear by honoring him as CMA Musician of the Year 10 times and electing him to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, Mississippi Musicians Hall of Fame and the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. In his career, he has recorded ten studio albums and eight singles. Two of his singles were hits on the Billboard Hot 100, and six more on the  Hot Country Songs charts.
“We are excited to open our concert season with such a monumental musician as Mac McAnally,” stated Mary Hyche, Theatre chairman. “He has such a strong following that we are getting calls and selling tickets to people all over Alabama and neighboring states.”
Tickets are still available for the Feb. 25, show. Tickets are $30 and seating is general admission. A pre-show dinner is available prior to the concert. Pre-show dinners are limited and require advance reservation and payment. Dinner begins at 5 p.m., and those who attend will enter the theater first for prime seating. Dinners are an additional $25.
“We are thankful to the Alabama State Council on the Arts for grant funding which helps us bring quality entertainment such as this to our area,” said Hyche.
All shows begin at 7 p.m. with box office and doors opening at 6 p.m.
Concert tickets can be purchased online via debit/credit card at itickets.com. Tickets are also available to be purchased in person, via cash or check only, at the Pastime Theatre office, Winfield City Hall, Gold Connection and The Kemp Foundation in Winfield.  For more information, contact Tammy Brashier at 205-487-3002.
