WINFIELD — Officials and team members from Listerhill Credit Union, the Winfield Chamber of Commerce, the Winfield City Council and other honored guests came together on Thursday, Feb. 27, for a groundbreaking ceremony at the site of Listerhill’s new branch. The new facility is scheduled to open by early 2026.
The credit union broke ground for their new 2,950 square foot financial center at 2077 U.S. Highway 43, just a little over half a mile southeast of their current branch in Winfield, which is being replaced by the new structure.
Brad Green, president & CEO of Listerhill, opened the groundbreaking ceremony by stating, “It is deeply gratifying to announce that today marks the beginning of the next exciting chapter in Listerhill Credit Union's continued service to this community with the construction of a new state-of-the-art financial services facility.”
Green continued, “Through the years, our delivery and accessibility for financial services has advanced and evolved to better serve our members' needs in Winfield and the surrounding Marion County area. This site will now become home to a beautiful new facility with expanded capacity and a balanced blend of the best in personal consultative service and the most recent technology that will enable 24-hour accessibility.
“We are extremely excited about this next step in continuing to provide and innovate financial services in ways that improve lives for the people of this community,” added Green.
While the building is being constructed, Listerhill will continue to offer in-person account service at its branch located at 2796 U.S. Highway 43 in Winfield or online at listerhill.com.
“Listerhill Credit Union is excited to support Winfield, its families and its local businesses by demonstrating our willingness to increase our investment in this community,” said Alanna Sullivan, chief operations strategist with Listerhill. “We are committed to the future of Winfield and its sound economic growth through our support of the community, which is all about improving lives.”
Sullivan said the branch will reflect Listerhill’s enhanced retail model, which will include an open floor plan, employees able to assist members with any of their financial needs and expanded self-service options.
“The Winfield Chamber congratulates Listerhill on their new facility,” said Winfield Chamber President David Webb. “We applaud their commitment to fostering economic growth in Winfield."
Randy Price, mayor of Winfield, added that “Listerhill is a great community partner, and we are excited to see them continue to grow and invest in Winfield. On behalf of the City of Winfield, I congratulate Listerhill on their new facility.”
