Porky Pate

Mr. Kenneth Earl Pate, better known as Porky, 64, of Winfield, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025, in the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Born in Winfield on April 28, 1961, Kenneth was one of eight sons born to Joseph Harrison and Mary Meherg Pate.
“Porky” was raised in Winfield and attended the Winfield Church of Christ during his childhood. He attended Winfield City Schools and Hubbertville High School. Kenneth Worked for Quantum Construction until health challenges led to his disability. In his spare time, Kenneth had a passion for collecting antiques and baseball cards.
Mr. Pate is survived by his daughter, Kasey Pate; his wife, Kathy Pate; brothers, Ricky Pate, Allen Pate, Michael Pate (Teresa) and William Pate; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Pate was preceded in death by brothers, Avery Joe Pate, Ronnie Dale Pate and Henry “Freddy” Moser; half siblings, Sterling Pate, Lowell Pate, Troy Pate, Christine Winters and Gladys Smith; the mother of his daughter, Lisa White; and his niece, Tina Pate.
Funeral services for Mr. Pate were held on May 22, 2025, at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Hillcrest Church of Christ Cemetery.
