HAMILTON — The City of Hamilton continues its water supply improvements with the awarding of a bid for the Mitchell Hill Pumping Station on Sept. 2 during a regular city council meeting.
The lowest bid was received from Price Civil Services Inc. of Vance for $503,850, and was unanimously approved by the city council.
The mechanics of the booster pumping station will be replaced, to include new pumps and new electrical systems.
The city will have to put some monies into the cost for the rebuild, but received federal monies during the summer, with a Community Development Block Grant awarded for $500,000.
