HAMILTON — Miss Hamilton Pageant Director MacKenzie Vann recently shared photos and information with the Journal-Record about the winners of the Miss Hamilton and Miss Hamilton’s Teen Pageant, who were crowned on Sunday, Sept. 21, during the 51st annual event held at the Bevill Building in Hamilton.
“The Miss Hamilton winner is Liliana Geier, 21 years old,” said Vann. “She is originally from Dadeville, but currently living in Tuscaloosa while she is a senior at The University of Alabama. She is pursuing a public health B.S. in hopes to obtain a medical degree and become a physician.
“Her community service initiative is ‘Live with a Passion for Compassion,’ which entails shedding light on what bullying is, its repercussions and how to take measures when it's noticed.
“Liliana's talent was baton twirling with light-up batons to ‘Last Dance’ by Donna Summer.”
Vann said the Miss Hamilton’s Teen winner is Josie Harrison, 15 years old, from Sylacauga.
“She is a Sylacauga High School majorette, as well as a member of the varsity tennis team. Her community service initiative is ‘SAIL: Seniors Active in Life,’ which is a community based fitness program designed to increase physical activity and mobility in aging adults.
“Josie's talent was singing. She performed her own interpretation of the renowned ‘Habanera,’ a French aria from George Bizets Opera Carmen.”
Vann also thanked all the participants, and said she’s excited about the new titleholders.
"On behalf of myself and the board of directors, I would just like to say that we are incredibly proud of all the young women who participated in this year's Miss Hamilton Scholarship Competition,” she said.
“Each contestant displayed remarkable talent, confidence and dedication to our community. Congratulations to our new Miss Hamilton and Miss Hamilton's Teen! We're excited to see how they use their titles to inspire others to make a positive impact throughout the year ahead.”
Both titleholders will also compete in the next Miss Alabama and Miss Alabama Teen Pageants.
“The next Miss Alabama 2026 will be crowned on Saturday, June 6, 2026,” Vann noted.
Regarding scholarship funds awarded, Miss Hamilton received $500 and Miss Hamilton’s Teen received a $200 wardrobe allowance.
