Scott Walker

Gregory Scott Walker, 55, of the Twin community, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Scott was born on March 10, 1970, in Amory, Miss., to Jimmy and Shenna Burleson Walker.
He was a longtime member of Philadelphia Church and a 1988 graduate of Marion County High School. That same year, Scott began his career with Continental Conveyor, where he worked for the last 38 years. Scott was known for his easygoing nature and his ability to strike up a conversation with anyone — he truly never met a stranger. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, farming, tinkering with tractors and Ford trucks and spending time outdoors.
Scott is survived by his two daughters, MaKaylee Carr (Matthew) and Marlee Robins (Daniel); his grandchildren, Mattie Jo Carr, Delia Ann Robins and Harvey Robins; his parents, Jimmy and Shenna Walker; a special cousin, Emile Addison; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members and friends.
Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Ruby Walker and Emit and Ammalee Burleson; his aunt, Elizabeth Addison; and his uncle, Johnny Walker.
Funeral services for Scott were held on July 12, 2025, at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
