Faye Shotts “Grandmother” Green was born on April 25, 1928, and was welcomed into heaven at the age of 98 on Thursday, May 7, 2026, in Hamilton, Ala.
Survivors include her children, Rodney (Jennifer) Green, Linda (Daron) Watson and Steve (Lily) Green and daughter-in-law, Tami Green; grandchildren, April Franks, Neal Green, Suzanne (Ryan) Watts, Holley (Chris) Davis, Lyndsay (Derek) McCollum, Cody (Charla) Watson, Whitney Watson, John Green, Maggie (Gavin) Lipham and Elizabeth Green; 14 great-grandchildren, Kenton, Grantley (Makenzie) and Talen Steele, Bayler Franks, Alyssa Green, Charlie and Heidi Davis, Ari and Arwen McCollum, John Cody and Kash Watson, Rylee, Elijah and Jonah Watts, one great-great-grandson, Ryder Steele; and a host of extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Neal and Flara Shotts; husband, Gatmon Green; and son, Harry Green.
Funeral services were held on May 9, 2026, at the First Baptist Church in Hamilton with her nephew, Ronny Cook, officiating. Burial followed at the Hamilton City Cemetery.
