Peter J. Gossett, General Manager
P.J. comes to the Journal-Record from the neighboring sister paper, the Northwest Alabamian. He was hired as a staff writer at the Northwest Alabamian in 2018 and moved to the manager position at the Journal-Record in 2021. He was born in Haleyville, grew up in Double Springs and graduated from Winston County High School in 1999, before attending Bevill State Community College in Hamilton. He is the author of several books, including "Book of Memory, Too! The History of Winston County High School." He has been doing genealogical and historical research in Alabama since 1999
