Hubbertville Lions defeat Brilliant Tigers 49-8

BRILLIANT — The Hubbertville Lions defeated the Brilliant Tigers 49-8 on Friday, Oct. 11.
The Lions were off to an early lead after scoring two touchdowns in the opening minutes of the game, leading 13-0 with 7:03 left in the first quarter.
The Lions scored once more during the first quarter with a touchdown by Hubbertville’s Timothy Keeton. With the extra point, the touchdown gave the Lions a 20-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The Tigers had the ball as the second quarter began but were held to fourth down and chose to punt. The Lions returned the ball deep into Tiger territory.
The Lions scored again on a touchdown reception by Kane Rushing and nailed the extra point kick to lead the Lions 27-0.
